Kristina Cruises is a Finnish family-owned shipping company with over forty years of experience in cruise business. Several decades in passenger service have created a company which operates successfully on the domestic as well as foreign cruise markets. Kristina Cruises (then known as Rannikkolinjat) was founded in 1985. The company was registered in Kotka. In the same year the company acquired the possession of its first passenger ship Kristina Brahe from Fagerlines Ltd., which had operated the vessel mostly in the Lake Saimaa area. Two years later the company bought the s/s Bore which became the Kristina Regina. She underwent a major refurbishment in 2000. The company operates cruises mostly in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. On 7th June, 1996 Kristina Cruises Ltd. was granted the ISM Certificate, which guarantees a carefully supervised safety organization. Its efficiency is regularly controlled by the Finnish Maritime Administration. The company's two cruise ships, the m/s Kristina Regina and the m/s Kristina Brahe sail under the Finnish flag with completely Finnish crew.
